| Problem Evaluation Study |
 |
|
The Krysalis PES is a fixed price fully documented study that forms the first stage of our projects. It is designed to investigate the problem, establish the framework and set the objectives for the completion of the project. During the PES our consultant(s) will be on site for 3 sessions designing and steering the process.
The PES includes:
- Interviews more...
Interviews will be conducted with the sponsor of the project and other key stakeholders. The objective of these interviews is to scope the overall problem and provide the framework for subsequent work. Thereafter focus will be placed on prototyping some crucial aspects of the problem by creating embryo models.
Also, the project team will be established and subsequent steps agreed during this stage.
- Embryo model building more...
After the first interviews and given collection of sufficient data from the project team, embryo models of some aspects of the problem situation will be built. This will allow the group to gradually gain ownership of the approach and also form the basis for the next stages.
- Presentation of the Approach more...
Input data and embryo models will be presented to the project team who will then be given the opportunity to refine and validate them, thus creating a shared understanding of the approach. Areas of the model that need to be enhanced will be identified, so that the group gains total ownership of the process, the models and the eventual solutions. Finally, methods of sensitivity analysis, that safeguard the resilience and robustness of the methodology, will be presented.
Given that the problem is manageable and there are few stakeholders, this stage may well provide an initial working solution.
- Plan of actual Project - Process Design more...
Planning of subsequent stages will be based on the outcomes of the initial analysis. Further to this the process for the solution of the problem will be designed. This includes establishing working teams by identifying areas of expertise, delegating responsibilities, arranging mini workshops, preparing models and finally preparing the final decision conference.
- Use of appropriate software for 30 days more...
Where applicable, appropriate software will be provided to the person(s) appointed by the sponsor. This will allow further testing and ability to brief the work so far. It also assists in gaining confidence on the proposed approach.
- Report more...
A written report will detail all actions undertaken, outcomes so far and a timetable for achieving the goals.
- Fixed price quotation to finish the project more...
A fixed price quotation, based on the agreed subsequent steps, will be provided. This is subject to the client accepting responsibility for organizing meetings and making sure that all participants attend. Where this is not possible Krysalis can work on a "time and material" basis for the completion of the project.
The cost of a PES is £3000 +VAT and includes expenses (for locations within 100 miles from London).
