Krysalis Ltd. has been trading since 1988, focusing on the design and development of management decision-making software together with specialized training courses and consulting on complex issues of choice and resources.

During its early stages Krysalis collaborated with the London School of Economics to develop and bring to market the Windows version of the then innovative Decision Analysis software Hiview and Equity.

Following this 7-year collaboration, in 1998 Krysalis developed its own Decision Analysis software tools, OnBalance and HiPriority. These early versions performed well in the market with major organisations like Texaco, BP, SHELL, Conoco Phillips, GSK, Roche, Pfizer, MOD, the Environment Agency and others, using them to solve complex problems of evaluation and budgeting.

In parallel Krysalis expanded its consulting services, focusing mainly on using and tailoring its flagship products to deliver bespoke decision making solutions. This involved linking the Krysalis tools with corporate systems to contribute to effective Decision Making. Key consulting projects were undertaken with Statoil, BP, AXA, Copeland Europe and others.

Today

Due to the acclaim of the early versions and the belief in continuous improvement Krysalis decided to develop the third generation of its software tools, building on its considerable experience to bring new levels of transparency and insight in Decision Making.

Version 3 will be launched in late 2006 allowing better integration with corporate systems and processes. Early market feedback is encouraging as several existing clients have already upgraded, new clients have been generated and a defence establishment has decided to standardize on our tools for their Optioneering processes.

At the same time, Krysalis has focused on delivering the whole product; instead of just providing easy to use and teach software, Krysalis has developed entire solutions to management problems. These involve an agreed mixture of processes, Problem Evaluation Studies, software and methodology training or one-on-one mentoring to meet the needs of our clients.

Tomorrow...

During the past 18 months Krysalis has employed two more people and is currently looking to recruit consultants and facilitators to take advantage of the increased demand of Version 3. At the same time we are also investing in web-delivered software tools.

InSight, initially meant to introduce decision analysis to a wider audience, has shown high potential for decision making with dispersed groups.

Throughout our history we have shown high levels of repeat business; attributed to our ethos of respect and our ability to understand the real problem before delivering effective solutions.
